The Cutty Sark is a Tea Clipper built in the 19th Century to navigate the seas of the world and she is the world's only surviving "Extreme Clipper." She sailed the seas on the trade routes and was fast and strong.

Cutty Sark survives today in Greenwich, England, as a memorial to the men of the Merchant Navy. Cutty Sark is an old Scottish name.

This hand-painted work of maritime art is known as a Giclée.

What is a Giclée?

Considered an original graphic, they are produced as multiples. The term originates from the French "to spray" and employs inkjet color application and digital color separation. Millions of ink particles are applied simultaneously to the cotton canvas. Flawless color reproduction and extraordinary consistency are the trademarks of this new technology and it is rapidly becoming the preferred method of fine-art print production.

After the image is printed, the canvas can be mounted on a panel or stapled to traditional stretcher bars, then displayed in a frame.

This painting on canvas is offered rolled, tied with a ribbon and shipped inside of a hard mailing tube.

Unique Characteristics of the canvas:

  • Highest resolution canvas coating for outstanding reproductions
  • Unique texture for true artist look
  • Heavyweight for quality feel
  • Acid free 100% cotton archival quality base
  • 100% Duck Cotton
  • Medium Gloss

Do not display the print in direct sunlight. Also, avoid high humidity and high temperature environments. Handle the prints carefully to prevent creasing or cracking.
