United States Navy aircraft carrier. Midway fighter pilots downed the first three MIGs credited to U.S. fighting forces in Southeast Asia. An F-4 Phantom II fighter pilot from Midway also scored the last air-to-air kill in the Vietnam War.
This painting is dedicated to honor Lieutenant Commander Roger Harris– "The Kid"– F-4 Phantom Naval Aviator, and the men who served on Midway during the Vietnam War.
